Success should never be measured by shareholder value alone. At Anthony Collins, we judge success by the social impact of our work. How we have helped our clients improve the lives of individuals, communities and society.
Today marks the launch of our 50th anniversary Social Impact Report, which highlights the work we have completed over the past year with a wide range of clients from charities to housing associations and local authorities through to our work with private individuals.
We quantify the impact of our work by collating statistics and stories that best illustrate our purpose - we can attribute 94% of our work last year to directly improving, lives, communities and society.
And there was no shortage of fulfilling work again last year.
We supported West and North Northamptonshire authorities to develop and procure a £1.4bn contract with innovation and efficiencies built in to ensure the effective maintenance of its highways infrastructure used by thousands of people daily.
As well as setting up 97 charities in 2022, we advised businesses like Fitzgerald Contractors to convert to employee ownership.
We advised Great Places Housing Group on extending the Housing First national pilot, a programme to provide permanent accommodation for people with multiple and complex needs who have experienced long-term recurrent periods of homelessness.
Working with charity partners such as the Sepsis Trust, our clinical negligence and personal injury team secured over £25m worth of compensation for clients suffering serious injury through negligence, helping them to put the relevant resources in place to live as full a life as possible.

Looking ahead
As we celebrate our 50th anniversary this year, we’re delighted that this commitment to social purpose has been recognised with a prestigious B Corp accreditation.
We have committed to being accountable to all our stakeholders and being transparent by publishing our own performance against the B Corp standards. This is -
- Better for our clients - because they can see their values are reflected in our own.
- Better for staff - because they know we are a responsible and inclusive employer providing career development & training, concentrating on people’s health and well-being and sharing the profits of the business.
- Better for business - creating a virtuous circle of attracting the best staff and clients that means we complete ground-breaking and important work that improves society around us.
