Associate in the Court of Protection team

My role

I am an associate working across all aspects of Court of Protection matters. The Court of Protection makes decisions on behalf of individuals who do not have the mental capacity to make decisions themselves. For example, this could be due to a brain injury, dementia or learning difficulties.

I have wide ranging experience including:

  • Making deputyship applications for finances and welfare;
  • Making a statutory will application;
  • Making a gifting application;
  • Representing a family member in Court of Protection welfare proceedings;
  • Representing the Official Solicitor on behalf of P in Court of Protection welfare proceedings; and
  • General Court of Protection advice including DOLs and other capacity related issues.

I am a trainee solicitor seat manager and work with the ED&I committee, especially by leading the health conditions sub-committee.

My experience

I am driven by helping some of the most vulnerable people in our society during difficult periods of their lives.
