Social Mobility Commission launches employer consultation

The Social Mobility Commission is launching a cross-sector employer consultation on social mobility within the workplace. The aim of the consultation is to help the Commission understand what activities and interventions employers are finding most effective in improving social mobility within their organisations and communities.

I talk a lot about the importance of coming together and sharing good practice in this area and how one of the best ways for employers to make a difference is by learning from each other. Whilst it is rapidly gaining momentum, the social mobility agenda is still relatively young. Taking part in the consultation is a fantastic opportunity not only to have your say in what is working but also to help shape the Commission's strategy and the information that is shared with the Government moving forwards.

If you would like further information on how you can get involved, then the Commission is running an introductory lunchtime webinar on Monday 26 September. You can sign up here.

If you would like further support with improving social mobility in your organisation, you can also download a copy of our free Social Mobility Toolkit

Taking part in the consultation is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the Commission's strategy and the information that is shared with the Government moving forwards.
