Supporting the social care sector

At Anthony Collins Solicitors (ACS) we feel privileged to work with many of the key umbrella bodies for the social care sector and to play a part in supporting their work.

Our longstanding partnerships with the UKHCA, National Care Forum and Care England, in particular, have seen us witness first hand the brilliant role they have all played through the pandemic, achieving many changes in guidance and approach from the Government. This has significantly improved outcomes for the most vulnerable people in our society.

We have also seen first hand how umbrella bodies have helped their members to navigate the many challenges thrown at them so they can continue to provide high quality and safe care through the midst of the pandemic. The pace has been relentless and the continued commitment of their staff comes through their social purpose. Our work with umbrella bodies in the sector is motivated by our own social purpose. We are pleased to share some thoughts from Professor Martin Green OBE, Chief Executive of Care England about the support we have provided to Care England which features in our recently released Social Impact Report and accompanying video. We look forward to continuing to support the social care sector throughout 2021 and beyond.

The delivery of high-quality social care is a key measure for how we treat the most vulnerable in our society. It’s something that, as a society, we don’t value enough. At ACS, we’re keen to put our voice behind a sector that needs to be taken more seriously by government and have more money put into it.
