AIDA - a groundbreaking tool for anyone experiencing relationship breakdown

If you had suggested to me 18 months ago that I would be launching a new AI tool for my family law clients, I would have laughed out loud. I was squarely a ‘turn it off and turn it on again’ kind of girl. IT and me don't really get on. But with the opportunity presented by a partnership with The Technology In Professional Services Project (TIPS) in association with the University of Lancaster, Aida was born and became a reality.

With a team of technical expert contractors and our own Head of Innovation, Paul Harker, we were able to create a digital assistant to help anyone, worldwide, free of charge, who wanted guidance about what to do if they needed legal help for a relationship breakdown issue. For those long nights when lawyers' offices are closed, Aida is awake and ready to help. When it's embarrassing or overly emotional to talk to a ‘real’ person or to go into a solicitor's premises, Aida can respond directly to your mobile, tablet or laptop.

Aida is empathetic and supportive. She's been programmed that way.

I'm hoping that empathy will come across loud and clear. At Anthony Collins, that's what we're known for. Not just the decades of experience of giving legal advice, but the way we look after and serve our clients.

As we mark Good Divorce Week this week, it feels especially timely to spotlight Aida.

I've been in this business for more than 35 years. I'm proud to say part of my legacy in the legal world will be Aida, continuing to help potential clients 24/7, 365 days a year.
