Celebrity Send Off - Lifting the stigma on conversations about death

Co-op Funeralcare has teamed up with Channel 4 to launch a social-first entertainment series to change the dialogue surrounding funerals.

Celebrity Send Off is a three-part series taking three celebrity duos on a journey of planning each other's funerals. Featuring Happy Mondays stars Shaun Ryder and Bez, and Gogglebox favourites Marcus and Mica; the series aims to normalise difficult conversations about death and funeral planning.

We frequently see how difficult it can be to talk about death, funerals and estate planning. When preparing wills, clients often don't want to even consider the thought and although difficult; talking now and taking action now will help loved ones in the future.

The show is a great idea to break down the barrier. I hope that viewers will feel encouraged to open up to their loved ones and have these difficult conversations.

Talking about your funeral, your will and planning for the inevitable is never easy but our specialists are on hand to support you! If you would like assistance in preparing a will or estate planning, please contact me.

You can watch Celebrity Send Off on Channel 4 Streaming services.

Lifting the stigma The series was based on the insight that 66% of people have thought about their funeral preferences, but only 7% feel comfortable talking about them.
