Announced last week, the expansion of the existing Affordable Homes Guarantee Scheme (AHGS) to a £6bn fund, will support both new construction and upgrades for the first time, including any key safety works, and the essential property upgrades of the existing stock provided that new homes are still delivered, which could make this scheme more attractive.
