A toolkit for maximising the benefits of public procurement reform

As the Procurement Bill moves back to the House of Lords for amendments to be considered, the Bill is edging closer to receiving Royal Assent. A six-month implementation period will follow before the new legal regime comes into force but the Cabinet’s Office’s proposed go-live date of October 2024 looks still to be on track. We will work closely with our clients to help them prepare for the new regime by updating documents and internal procedures and delivering bespoke training. In addition, we are about to roll out a series of webinars, workshops and ebriefings to support the transition to the new legal regime in an applied way. As a taster, our offer will cover:

  • Reflecting the Procurement Act’s requirements in organisational rules
  • Unlocking social value under the Procurement Act
  • Maximising the benefits and minimising the risks of the competitive flexible procedure
  • Using the new framework and dynamic markets tools in practice
  • Streamlining the preparation of notices
  • Navigating the exclusion and debarment regime
  • Identifying direct award and modification grounds
  • Managing contract awards and risks of challenge

Please keep an eye out for these over the coming weeks and months and get in touch if you would like to discuss more bespoke implementation support.
