Putting purpose into practice: Social purpose volunteering

At Anthony Collins Solicitors (ACS) our social purpose is at the heart of everything we do. Our social purpose volunteering scheme allows all staff at ACS to take up to three days as volunteering time whilst still being paid.

Our scheme allows staff to give back to the community, furthering our goal of improving lives, communities and society. Everyone is free to pursue any volunteering opportunity that helps to achieve our social purpose, whether that would be helping a church group, fundraising for a charity or helping to decorate a care home.

My colleague, Alice Kinder, has shared her experience of volunteering at an interview day at a local school. This gave students the opportunity to develop valuable life skills by giving them the experience of being interviewed by a professional.

Why not take a couple of minutes to read the case study from our social impact report to find out more about our social purpose volunteering scheme and Alice’s personal experience.

It was rewarding to be able to support the students in whatever they wanted to achieve and encourage them to think about what they needed to do to get there.
