This is a fantastic step in the right direction. Friends and family being able to visit our Court of Protection clients in care homes will positively contribute to their mental wellbeing. I am pleased to see that the Court of Protection has recognised the importance of this.

A senior judge has said friends and family can legally visit their loved ones in care homes, in an apparent challenge to recent government policy that has in effect banned routine visits in areas of high Covid-19 infection.
