At Anthony Collins, we believe the law is more than a profession—it’s a powerful tool for creating a fairer, more inclusive society. Our 2025 Social Impact Report reflects this belief in action, showcasing how our work continues to improve lives, strengthen communities, and drive systemic change.
A year of purpose in action
Over the past 12 months, our teams have made meaningful strides across sectors, guided by our mission to use the law as a force for good.
Some of our highlights include:
- £900 million raised through funding projects—enough to support the development of 3,300 affordable homes.
- 23,000 hours spent on legal aid matters, ensuring access to justice for those who need it most.
- £76,000 raised through fundraising and charity partnerships.
- A 59% increase in volunteering hours, with over 823 hours donated to causes aligned with our values.
- The launch of Aida, a digital assistant designed to support individuals navigating relationship breakdowns with empathy and clarity.
Expanding our reach and impact
Our commitment to social justice has led to strategic expansions, including the opening of a new Wolverhampton childcare hub, which has already supported 111 additional families. We’ve also played a key role in shaping national initiatives, such as:
- Supporting the Families First for Children Pathfinder programme, aimed at transforming children’s social care.
- Advising on the implementation of Awaab’s Law, helping social landlords prepare for new safety regulations.
- Leading legal efforts in a £22 million regeneration project in Stafford, revitalising the town centre for long-term community benefit.
Championing vulnerable individuals
From securing £38.4 million in compensation for personal injury and clinical negligence clients to protecting £130 million in assets through the Court of Protection, our legal teams continue to advocate fiercely for those facing complex challenges.
One standout case involved a seven-year legal journey for a woman who sustained a catastrophic brain injury abroad. Our Birmingham-based team secured a £9 million settlement, ensuring lifelong care and preserving vital family connections.
Empowering the third sector
We’ve supported over 695 charities, helped establish 100 new ones, and advised on mergers, safeguarding, and governance. Our ecclesiastical law team now holds five Diocesan Registrar appointments, placing us among the top three firms nationally in this field.
Co-operatives and community-led change
As part of our partnership with Co-operatives UK, we’re helping thousands of co-ops access affordable legal support. We’ve also contributed to national law reform consultations and helped secure £20 million in social investment for community-led housing.
A culture of inclusion and sustainability
Internally, we’re proud of our inclusive culture:
- 92% of our people say AC is a great place to work.
- Voluntary turnover has remained below 10% for over a year.
- We’ve enhanced family leave policies, launched apprenticeships, and embedded career development into performance reviews.
- Environmentally, we’ve transformed our Birmingham HQ’s energy rating from E to A, and partnered with Newcastle City Council to remove 4,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually.
Looking ahead: Doubling our impact by 2030
We’re not stopping here. Our bold strategy for 2030 includes:
- Doubling our social impact.
- Amplifying our reach and deepening sector expertise.
- Embracing innovation to futureproof our purpose.
We remain committed to listening, learning, and evolving—always with the goal of creating lasting, positive change.
Join us on the journey.
