Knowledge drops on the Procurement Act released

The Government Commercial Function has just released three sets of high-level  ‘Knowledge Drops’ designed to provide an overview of the Procurement Act 2023.

These on-demand videos are aimed at:

  • organisational leaders and those who may oversee functions which include or liaise directly with commercial and procurement teams in contracting authorities;
  • suppliers and SMEs/VCSEs who bid for and/or deliver contracts to the UK public, utilities and defence sectors, or who would like to do so in the future.

Supporting factsheets have also been published to help build awareness and understanding regarding exemptions and the general regime covering the differences for Northern Ireland, Wales, schools, defence and security, utilities, the light touch regime and concessions. These are to be read alongside the Procurement Act 2023 which is due to come into force in October 2024. It is expected that more detailed guidance and training pitched at different levels will be released in due course.
