Concerns raised over orthopaedic surgeon's care

An interesting case for one of our clients who underwent a shoulder operation performed by a surgeon at the Spire Parkway Hospital who was investigated by the Royal College of Surgeons, Spire Healthcare Ltd and also the Care Quality Commission.

We're pleased to achieve a positive outcome for him, especially by identifying additional failures in the care he received, beyond the failures found by the internal investigations. This is an example of how a clinical negligence case can get patients answers to questions that internal investigations miss.

We found that Mr Rahman’s failures went beyond the one error our client was told about. Without our investigations, he would have been left unaware that Mr Rahman let him down in these other ways too. This has also made those investigating the care Mr Rahman provided to many other patients aware that he might have failed in his duties to patients in more ways than first thought.
