This article, albeit in the Scottish jurisdiction, shows increasingly that male victims of domestic violence are being taken seriously in a sea of media where women are generally the ones who raise the alarm. Historically courts would often only hear the woman's 'side', but in an age of gender equality, there is now no bias in English courts. Men need to come forward and not fear rejection of their complaint. The police should be the first port of call in an emergency but an organisation such as Mankind (https://www.mankind.org.uk/) are a useful resource.
