I have been watching the debate and progress surrounding the delayed GMSF with interest. 

Whilst it is important it is not delayed further, so much needed regeneration and house building in certain areas can take place, there needs to be a balance struck. I have seen schemes (including affordable housing schemes) be postponed and abandoned due to the delay, but the plans will impact on the Greater Manchester area for the next 17 years so they need to be right for the areas concerned with the correct process having been through.
