My role

I am a legal assistant in the personal injury and clinical negligence team based in Macclesfield. I assist in all types of cases however my main caseload at present is made up of Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) claims involving sexual assault and historic sexual abuse.

My experience

I have been with the firm for four years – this is my first job in the legal sector. I originally started as a receptionist before expanding my role after the first year. I worked for the a personal injury and clinical negligence department as well as the wills and probate team, before becoming exclusively a legal assistant within personal injury and clinical negligence in early 2022. In 2022, I graduated with a 2:1 in law and will begin my LPC in September 2023.
