Jackie Morris

Senior associate

Senior associate in the employment team

My role

I am a senior associate specialising in employment law. I work across all sectors at Anthony Collins Solicitors, though predominantly deal with clients in the health and social care sector. I deal largely with defending claims in the employment tribunal and provide commercial, cost-effective advice to clients in a clear and down-to-earth way.

My experience

I qualified as a solicitor in 2013 in a busy, hands-on high-street firm, where I acted for both employees and employers. I joined Anthony Collins Solicitors in July 2020. Prior to this, I worked for a large national firm specialising in advising all levels of employees on employment law disputes and claims. Whilst completing my academic qualifications, I operated as a trade union shop steward, and so have first-hand experience of dealing with disciplinary and grievance hearings. I represent clients in the employment tribunal at preliminary and final hearings.

‘I wish to highlight Jackie Morris for his friendly demeanour and straightforward, practical and wise counsel.’ Legal 500, 2023

My specialisms

  • Complex employment tribunal proceedings
  • Negotiated exits and settlement agreements
  • Internal processes (disciplinary and grievances)
  • Redundancy advice
  • Employment law aspects of Covid-19
