Natalie Barbosa

Senior associate

Senior associate in the projects team

My role

I provide advice to charities and health and social care organisations, with a focus on fundraising regulation and advice, commercial/contractual partnerships and green projects. I have over ten years of experience working in company/commercial, corporate and litigation specialisms.

My passion is for environmental and animal-welfare based charities, as well as children’s charities.

My experience

Prior to joining Anthony Collins Solicitors, I was the legal counsel at Barnardo’s – who, as well as being the UK’s leading children’s charity, are also a major provider of children and young adult services to local authorities and central government. I am also the vice-chair and trustee of Animal Free Research UK.

My support to charity clients includes dealing with matters such as fundraising law and regulation, charity partnerships, local authority tenders and service provision, contractual joint ventures and consortia, grants, data protection, general commercial matters and the development of in-house policies and procedures such as due diligence.

I also help lead Anthony Collins Solicitors’ work in the green sector, assisting clients with matters such as: achieving their sustainability goals, greening their procurement processes and working to improve biodiversity. I lead Anthony Collins Solicitors’ involvement with The Chancery Lane Project, a collaborative effort of UK lawyers using the law and contractual clauses to address the climate and ecological crisis.
